Beginners Half Square Triangle Course Requirements:

You will need a sewing machine with ideally a ¼” foot and a walking foot if you have them. An ordinary piecing foot will be fine if that’s all you have.  Please bring your machine with dust & lint removed, with a full bobbin of white or pale thread (or thread coordinating with your background fabric), and some spare needles; and your power lead and foot pedal. Also bring your machine instruction book. Bring a choice of thread colours for the top reel, and your usual sewing kit including scissors & safety pins.

You will also need:

Rotary Cutter, Cutting Board and Ruler

Pencil & Paper

Fabric Requirements:

Three or four different fabrics (How many you need depends on the design you choose). The simplest thing is to choose three or four fat quarters, which will leave you some extra fabric left over for more blocks.

Wadding 15” square

Backing fabric 18” square (e.g. another fat quarter)
