Intermediate Patchwork and Quilting

I look forward to seeing you in the Intermediate Patchwork and Quilting class!  For the first lesson, we will be working on mock cathedral window and traditional cathedral window. You will have the option of using mock cathedral window in your sampler quilt. The supplies that you will need for the first class are:

There will be additional supplies needed for the rest of the class, and I will talk about these at the first class. If you have questions about these, you can wait until after the first class to purchase them. They include:

Drawing supplies - pencil (with a good point), ruler, compass (preferably with extenders), protractor

Marking supplies - pencils to mark on fabric

12" graph paper - will be available by the sheet from the shop

Foundation paper - greaseproof paper works fine

Template material - plastic OR cardboard and glue stick

Milliners or straw needle

I will discuss the fabric requirements at the first class, but If you wish to start purchasing fabric (or looking through your stash) these are the additional fabric requirements:

Optional: fat quarter of three fabrics for “arrows” if desired.

Note: These numbers are rough estimates - the amount you need really depends upon where you choose to place the fabrics and how you cut the pieces. So if you have a particular fabric that you want to use and don't have the stated quantity, it will probably be enough.

If you have questions before the class, feel free to call me.
